New insights into the high-energy emission of the bright Seyfert 2/Starburst galaxy NGC 4945 with INTEGRAL/RXTE
Abstract
NGC 4945 is the brightest Seyfert 2 galaxy at 100 keV making it an ideal candidate for studying the X-ray emission properties with INTEGRAL. This source has also a composite nature presenting all the characteristics of a starburst galaxy below 1 keV and exhibiting a powerful active nucleus at higher energies. The combination of INTEGRAL and RXTE capabilities allows us to perform a detailed study of its broad-band high-energy emission. We present the first INTEGRAL view of the AGN component of the galaxy NGC 4945.
